The story
Almost every salon and barbershop I speak to runs bookings through WhatsApp, and it works right up until the owner is answering messages at ten at night and has accidentally put two people in the same Saturday slot.
This is what the alternative looks like. A customer picks a service, picks a barber or takes whoever is free first, and sees the actual open times pulled from the diary. The whole thing takes under a minute on a phone, and they get a confirmation email with a link to cancel so nobody has to create an account.
The harder half is the part customers never see. Two people tapping the same slot at the same moment must not both get it, so bookings are checked and locked in the same operation. And because the server runs in another timezone, every time is handled as local South African time from end to end, which is the bug that quietly ruins most booking systems.

- Admin day view for running the shop, marking no-shows and blocking out time
