Where the
name comes
from.
Staz has been my name since I was a kid, long before it was a business. It started as a gaming handle, went through a few bad versions, and eventually got short enough to keep. The Z is for ZA.
Behind it, it is still just me. The person who quotes you is the person who builds your site and the person who answers when something needs fixing at half past eight on a Tuesday. There is no account manager in the middle, and nothing gets handed off to someone you have never spoken to.
I have been building for the web for a few years now, including working with the team at Evetech, one of the biggest online stores in the country, where I led the redesign of the whole site. That taught me a lot about what happens to a site when thousands of real people use it every day rather than five people in a meeting.
The rest of the time I build for smaller South African businesses, which I genuinely prefer. A salon that stops losing bookings, or a shop that can finally sell online without paying rent to a platform, changes something real for the person who owns it.

Multi-user products with accounts, billing rules and PDFs, like Faktura, my invoicing app built around South African VAT law.
