Du Toit Plumbing

A plumber site built for one job: getting someone with a burst geyser on the phone in two taps.

The story

Nobody browses a plumber website. They have water coming through the ceiling and they need a number, right now, at half past ten at night.

So this site is built around that moment. The phone number is on screen at all times, there is a sticky call bar on mobile, and someone in an emergency can be dialling within two taps of landing. No forms in the way, no scrolling to find the contact page.

For the jobs that are not emergencies, there is a quote form that does something useful: it lets people send a photo of the problem straight from their phone camera. Plumbers quote half their work from a photo anyway, so the form matches how the job actually gets done.

What I built

  • Sticky click-to-call bar and an emergency path that never needs a form
  • Quote request with photo upload straight from a phone camera
  • Service areas written as real content for suburb-level searches
  • Before and after gallery and trust details like PIRB registration and CoCs
  • Plumber structured data with per-suburb service areas
