Muddy Paws Rescue
A dog and cat rescue site built to do the two things a rescue lives on: take donations and rehome animals.

The story
Every rescue and NGO in South Africa runs on donations and needs a way to move people from feeling something to actually helping. This demo is built entirely around that: an emotional first impression, then four clear ways to help, adopt, donate, foster, volunteer, none of them more than a tap away.
The donation flow is the heart of it. Once-off or monthly, with suggested amounts framed as real impact ("R150 feeds a dog for a month") and a wishlist of physical goods, because not everyone gives cash. It runs through Payfast so the whole checkout is real, just pointed at the sandbox so no actual money moves.
The rescue-specific part is the adoptable animals: a filterable grid of dogs and cats, each with a photo, a personality, and its own story, with an enquiry form to start an adoption. It is the warm cousin of a property or product listing, and it is what makes the site feel like a real rescue rather than a generic charity template.
What I built
- Donation flow via Payfast, once-off and monthly, with impact framing and a goods wishlist
- Adoptable animals grid with filters, personalities and per-animal story pages
- Adopt, foster and volunteer enquiry forms
- Upcoming events: adoption days, fundraisers and market stalls
- NGO and Event structured data, and a warm accessible design for a broad audience
